The Marine Bords enquiryinto cause of and the circumstances attending the wreck of the Ly-ee-Moon commenced to-day. The evidence of Captain Webber was taken. From his statement regarding the course he had directed the officer to steer, it was elicited that the slightest deviation from the set course would result in the wreck of the vessel.
In the course of the inquiry which is being held to-day by the Marine Board, afrer Captain Webber had given his evidence, and during the examination of Fotheringham, third officer, it was announced that the Judge had granted an injunction—preventing the Board from proceeding further with taking evidence, as deponents were under a criminal charge of manslaughter. The inquiry consequently was adjourned until Monday next
