FATAL BOAT ACCIDENT.

Thames, Last night. A melancholy boat accident occurred at the entrance to the Thames river yesterday. It appears that about noon four men named W. Rea sen., W. Rea jun , A, S, Colquhoun, and John James started from Tararu for Piako in an open boat during a severe north-westerly gale. ■■ he boat was not seen to capsize, but later sn ‘he day the master of the river steamer reported having observed wreckage at the mouth of the Thames river. The boat, was found bottom upwards in the mud channel this morning, but no sign of the occupants, and no hope is entertained for their survival The whole community is astir, and taking part in the search for the bodies. The three elder men were married, and leave their families unprovided foe.
