Mr Edward Wakefield, M. H.R. (says the Timaru Herald), having bought into the Evening Press, Wellington, left Timaru for that city on Saturday to undertake the editorship of it. It is Mr Wakefield’s intention fo endeavor to make the Evening Press a thoroughly colonial newspaper, and there is little doubt it would be hard to find another man in the colony more fit to undertake the work than he is.
