Medical yj- 0 NK’S NEW ZEALAND Herbal Remedies, DIARRHCEA, DYSENTERY, &c. Completely conquered by Monk’s Herbal Extract (Registered), Price 2s 6d and 4s per bottle. The above “Extract” is one of the moat marvellous discoveries of the age. Its effects are instantaneous, and never fail in chronic or acute cases, however severe. The great properties of this medicine consist in its never producing costiyeness, no matter how freely used, and its being perfectly harmless and purely herbal, yet curing Diarrhoea, Dysentery; English Cholera, etc., with the greatest certainty. TESTIMONIALS. Rangiota, July 7, 1881. Sir, —Having carefully examined the N.Z. Herbal Extract, 1 find it to be skilfully prepayed vegetable preparation, possessing the properties of the plants from which it is derived in a highly concentrated state, a fact whiph I have verified by evaporating a fluid drachm placed on a watch glass over a spirit lamp. On ( weighing the result, a dark green extract, I found the weight to be 14i grains. On fqrther submitting the extract to analysis I found it to be rich in tannin. In a large number of cases of ordinary diarrhoea, as well as in many chronic cases and in dysentery, Ifiave proved it to possess great specific control, added to the unusual cure in a majority of diarrhoea medits, that it does not subsequently ooneate the bowels. I feel satisfied that from the number of trials I have been enabled to make of it in a somewhat extensive practice, it is a most valuable addition to modern therapeutics. The following cases are take random from my note book : Case No, I—Mrs M , Wesc Eyre ton, suffering for two years from chronic dysentery, which had reduced her almost to a skeleton. After a fortnight’s trial not only had the diarrhoea stopped, but the commenced eating meat without pain, and the usual concomitant vomiting. In two months she had gained 181bs weight. Case No. 2—A G., child, aged five years. Fortnight diarrhoea. Was effectually cured on third day. (tsigned) Charles DeLacy McCarthy, M.A., M.B.,etc., Trinity College, Dublin.
