The quality of those goods is vouched for in the following extracts, and they can be supplied much cheaper than the imported article ; —Encourage local industries ! ! ! “ The Maclean pickles obtained the highest award at (he International Exhibition 1882, against several of the principal English manufactures ; the highest award at the Canterbury Agricultqral and Pas toral 'Asßr'cqation’ij show, 1883; and also a letthr highly commendatory from the President of the New Zealand Industrial Exhibition, 1883 and 1834 (no awards having been given).”—“ Professor A. W. Biokerton, Colonial reports : —The'jpickles having been examined, were found to be well preserved, of good color, and perfectly free from adulteration.
