It is announced that the Government intend to introduce in Parliament a Validating Bill to meet the constitutional difficulty which has arisen in cpn r nection with the election of some, mem-, hers of the present Ministry through informality in connection with the Gazette proclamation. Sale of Racehorses. At the sale of Mr R. Town’s Hobartville horses yesterday, the lots offered realised 1.13,500. The highest price given was L. 1,300 for a yearling filly. - The Governor of Victoria. Melbourne, To-day. The Marquis of Normanby leaves for England via San Francisco in April next. The Argus to day, alluding to his Excellency’s departure, warmly eulogises the manner in which he has filled the position of Governor. Earl Rosebery. Adelaide, To-day. The Earl and Countess Rosebery are now in this city en toute for England.
