WANDERERS v.; AUCKLAND.
In the cricket match Canterbury. Wanderers v Auckland Sixteen, the Auckland team were all oat for 167. The principal scores are—Dewes 63, Frude 32, McOaualand 25, Bede 20. The Wanderers in their second innings when time was called had made 278 for seven wickets. Millton was in nearly the whole afternoon and made 117, Secretan 11, Buchanan 23, Lbngden 26, Harman 8, Wilding 6, Cotterill 26, Edser (not out) 21, Hon Stevens (not out) 33, extras 7. The match was drawn. Mr Dewes, the Auckland captain, called for cheers for the Wanderers, and Mr Stevens called for cheers for the Auckland team. A ball was given last night in honor of the Canterbury cricketers, who return home by the Manapouri to-day. THE, AUSTRALIAN ELEVEN.

The cricset match between the Australian team and the Combined Eleven of Australia was resumed to-day, when the former continued their fiist innings and remained in all day, scoring 619 runs with nine wickets down. The following are the scores of today’s play:— Bonnor, run out ... 2 Midwinter, caught and bowled ... 9 Blackham, bowled ... 0 Alexander, caught 50 Palmer, bowled 6 Cooper, caught ... 53 Boyle, notout... ... ... ... - 40 Murdoch, not out ... 270 Total for nine wickets including yes- - terday’s scores ... ... ... 619 Not much interest is taken in the match, and the attendance to-day was small.
