Saturday, Avgust 25. BILLS.

The Guardian Trust and Executors Company Bill was read a third time and passed. The Hon Mr Reynolds introduced a Bill to amend the Licensing Act, which was read a first time.

On the motion for the third reading of the Otago Harbor Board Bill, Dr Pollen moved its recommittal for further amendment,, but this was negatived after a long discussion by 23 votes to 11.

. The Auckland Loan Bill was passed through Committee, and read a third time.

On the motion of the Hon Mr Whitaker it was agreed to sit on Monday. The Council rose at 5 p,m.
