A Modest Demand. Sydney, Yesterday. The action of Lucas v. the Government of New South Wales, for compensation for land in Darling Harbor .taken for railway purposes, was commenced to-day. The amount sued for is, Lyb.qqs. The Government offered L 5,676 in settlement of the claim.
