[PKR UEOTEk's AGENCY.] The Brindisi Mail. Albany, Yesterday. P. and O. Company's steamship Hydaspes, with the inward mails via Suez and Brindisi, dated London, April 7th, arrived in King George's Sound this morning. At a Reduced Bate. Sydney, Yesterday. The Postmaster-General has agreed to reduce the tariff for cable messages from Sydney to New Zealand to seven shillings for a minimum of ten words. The Gold Cup. Adelaide, Yesterday. At the South Australian Jockey Club meeting to-day, the race for the Adelade Gold Cup was won by Euclid, with Commotion second. Belladrum and Pollio ran a dead heat for third place. Fourteen horses started, and Euclid won, after a good race, by a neck. Time— 3mm 36^sec.
