THE WESLEYAN CONFERENCE.
[from our own correspondent.] [by telegraph.] Christchurch, To-day. The station list was re-opened this morning, in order to effect an exchange with the Richmond and Dunedin circuits, Mr Kirk going to the former, and Mr Berry to the latter. The children’s fund was considered, and committees appointed to draft a scheme for a loan fund to help the erection of new churches, and the removal of debts cff old ones. The chairman of districts were appointed as follows ;—Auckland, Rev. A. Reid ; Wanganui, the President; Wellington, Rev. R. Bavin; Nelson, Rev. W. Lee ; Canterbury, Rev. W. Morley; Otago, Rev. J. Crump. The deputations for the Home Mission Fund were fixed ; and a good suggestion was made that laymen should be appointed also. The session was filled up with various arrangements in connection with the examiners and examination papers of probationers for the next year.
