Natator got all the best of the start, but The Governor and Hilarious rushed to the front in the first hundred yards, and led past the stand a length before Lady Emma, Natator coming last. At a mile Hilarious went up alongside the Governor, followed almost immediately by Natator and Lady Emma, all passing Mr Horsford’s colt. Natator soon got on terms with Hilarious, and passing him before entering the straight, came away and won with a good deal in hand by a length. Lady Emma was a good third, and Governor was last.
