Auckland, To-day. The brigantine Flirt brings Fiji news to the Bth. Two laborers who arrived from the Solomon Group at Levuka, have been identified by Mr. Ward, a survivor of the massacre on the Borealis, as having been on board the vessel on that occasion.
A European hks been barbarously murdered at Verbe.se Attan. The report says that the victim ot this outrage, having pulled the head-dress from off a chief, was immediately struck down with'an axe by the offended native, and killed on the spot. The, f'iji Gazette^ strongly opposes the subsidy, of aline of steamers between New Zealand arid Fiji.
