Cole’s Circus

Some astonishing revelations were made in a case, Bassett v. Bassett, heard before the Resident Magistrate to-day. The defendant, who was formerly a boarding house-keeper, objected to contribute to the maintenance of his wife, from whom he now lives apart, on the ground th:.t early one morning he found a lodger named Hay totally undressed under his wife’s bed in her bedroom, The Mag'strate held that, even if a wife acts in an nnwifely manner, her husband.must assist in supporting.her, and made an order for 10s; per week. ,
