Russians Enter Suburbs of Vienna to meet Savage foe
Moscow reports that the first Russian spearhead has entered the suburbs of Vienna and met with savage resistance.
One spearhead has thrust round to the west of the city and another is directed at the cutting off of the German retreat.
Other Russian forces have crossed the Hungarian-Yugo-Slav frontier near Zagreb.
The Soviet has denounced its Five-Year-Pact with Japan. The pact still has one year to run and although Russia has not actually broken this term, it has been made clear that the pact will not be renewed.
There are expressions of official satisfaction in Britain and U.S.A.
