Mar. 18. “Bring and Buy” Afternoon held; eleven ladles present. Cakes were brought and sold, ami served for afternoon tea. Most successful and encouraging two hours. Three new members initiated. Apr. 2. Five members met informally at an afternoon tea given by Mrs Holst in honour of the Secretary, Miss Paora, who is taking four months’ course of Karltane Nursing. Many interested friends were able to hear Miss Paora’s account of Convention. It was most helpful and instructive. Decided to invite the Y. Organiser to make us a visit some suitable Saturday soon. There is a good percentage of young

people who would thus be directly learning our ideals. Mrs Hoe takes the place of President, vacated by Mrs Hinerangi Simons, who is still Maori Organiser. Mrs Jackson will be Acting Secretary and Treasurer. Two members are being transferred from Helensville Union. The Union is most grateful so many friends are interested; unity in thought is most encouraging.
