DOMINION TRAVELLING SECRETARY’S REPORT.
The following is a biicf repo it oi work accomplished from April 29th, iqiß, commencing at the Bluff, and ending at Wellington on April 21st, iqiq, during which time I have travel! ed ever many thousands of miles in town and country dist’icts. 1 have visiied over bo districts, very often in fearful weather, and under very tryin*/ conditions. At Invercargill I formed a “V” lira nr h, with 35 members, trained all the officers, and drew up their books, also assisted in organising a big social for same, which was a great success;
over it rj attended. A Luge nutnbci of new and honorary members were se< uied. Two branches of the Loyal Temperance Legion 1 also formed with a large number of members. Secured i; babies for the Cradle Koll. Adult Branches: Secured 31 new members, aNo new “White Ribbon” subscribers. Collected a large number of back ft es for membership and “White Ribbon/’ Prepared a set of new books for the District Branch. (lore. Secured two new members, and otvi “White Ribbon” subscriber. Balclutha. -Formed new branch, with a membership of 30, also a large number of ‘‘While* Ribbon subscribers. Lovell’s Flat and District.- Sec ured 1(1 new* members. Milton.- Formed new branch, with a membership of 57, also a large number of “White Ribbon” subscribers. Dunedin.—Secured two new numbers, and re-enrolled five lapsed members, also “White Ribbon” subscribers. Christchurch. Re-enrolled two lapsed members. Wellington South Branch. —One new member. Wellington Central. Re-enrolled four lapsed numbers. Palmerston North. • - One lapsed member, and one “White Ribbon subscriber. Total membership for the year: 200. “White Ribbon” subscribers: 39. I have held thirty meetings in connection with our own W.C.T.U. work, besides visiting the different Bible Classes on Sundays, assisting and attending a large number of other meetings. Financial Report.— Money Collected.
Much other work accomplished too nuineious to report. Myrie Weymouth. “White Ribbon” subscribers: /.4 17s <xl paid, besides a large amount of fees paid in to the different Unions for new members.
