Robyn Kahukiwa
Wahine Toa/Maori Women in Maori myth
The artist, Robyn Kahukiwa is pictured with two of her works in the exhibition currently touring New Zealand galleries. The works in the exhibition are paintings, drawings and linoengravings and with a text by Patricia Grace will be published as a book by William Collins in October 1983. Robyn has drawn strongly on traditional myths for the detail in her work to get authenticity. The colours are bold and imagery striking.
