TE PIKI RANGIWATEA TE IKI One of the oldest chiefs of Taranaki, Mr Te Piki Rangiwatea Te Iki died at Okaiawa last September at the age of 92. He was a son of Te Ikamoeone, of the Ngati Ruahine subtribe of Ngati Ruanui. He was associated with the movement at Parihaka initiated by Te Whiti and with his wife Matengaio was a lifelong adherent of Te Whiti's teachings.
