OR the interested golfing public who are looking for first-hand instruction in the art of playing golf, "Love on the Fairway" is the ideal teacher. It is the simple story of a lesser-known novelist who decides to enter for the British open championship, held at thar world-famed Scottish golf course, St. Andrews. His fiancee, also a good golfer, promises to marry him if he wing the championship. As can be seen, the story is very simple, -but it is that. simplicity which changes it from a text book. in golf to an interesting little novel. Many hard shots are pleasantly explained by Archie Compston and Stanley Anderson, who are themselyes competent golfers and know what they are tatking about, and with an introduction by Henry Cotton, the story is complete.
