Dunedin Singer Likes Golf, Shooting and Fishing.
Miss JEAN PICKARD, of Dunedin, who is the vocalist in the group of artists appearing at intervals under the name of "The Symposians," belongs to a musical family, and has been interested in music from infancy, Her family can produce its own orchestra and choir. Miss Pickard, whose fresh complexion’ bears testimony to.a liking of outdoor sports. is particularly fond of shooting, fishing, ee
and playing golf. She has many fine shots with the gun to her credit, while she can manipulate the rod with skill, and swing a club‘as well as many more experienced players. Regarded as a clever floral artist, Miss Pickard has always had a keen eye for horticultural. beauty. As she ‘is also fond of home life, she has many opportunities of producing cooked delicacies, which, one might suspect, are meatless, as she is a vegetarian. A gamé of bridge in the evening is enjoyed by Miss Pickard, who has long since learned to play every hand to the best advantage. Elocution and singing are especially fascinating to her, and she is a live member of the aaa Repertory Society.
