Radio in Japan
PoE election of membership in the International Amateur Radio Union of the Japanese Amateur Radio League has been announced. The Japanese body has been the. organised representative of amateur radio in that country for the past five years. The LA.R.U., amateur societies of 25 natious, has been in existence for nearly 10 years. It is recognised at international radio conferences as the spokesinan of organised amateur radio, representing 60,000 licensed amateur radio Stations in all parts of the world. The countries represented in the union are the United States, in which the headqvarters are maintained at the offices cf the American Radio Relay League, Italy, Canada, Czechoslovakia, Germany, Denmark, Irish Free State, Colombia, Mexico, Netherlands, Netherlands Indies, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Great Britain, Portugal, Belgium, France, South Africa, Finland, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland, and Australia.
