Are Your Eyebrows the Right Colour?
"H} YEBROWS should be a shade or two darker than the hair," says blonde Mary Carlisle, who will be seen in Paramount’s "College Humour" shortly. "If your face powder is heavy and a heavy rouge is worn, do not make your eyebrows too dark, as that would ‘mean three rather startling items of responsibility for your face to carry. And few faces can do it with grace. If the face powder is delicate and very little rouge, or none, is used, your eyebrows may carry a definite bit of colouring; but not too definite, just to be on the safe side. In eyebrow colouring the principle of erring on the light side is better than erring on the heavy black line. "In trimming the eyebrows, consider the shape of your face, whether thin or heavy, and follow the natural shape. If there is very little space between the eyes and the eyebrows are heavy, clean out the underneath line of hair and arch the centre line upwards."
