Ted Priestley, a well-known and successful teacher of dancing who is now engaged on a series of lectures from 1YA. numbers, "Schubert’s Toy Shop" and "Polonaise in the Mall." On the instrumental side of the programme will be novelty numbers on tin-whistle and mouth organ by W. V. Robinson. Wellington Notes JRENE HORNIBLOW, a _ talented Dunedin mezzo-contralto now resident in Wellington, will be introduced to 2YA listeners. The Tamariki Maori Quartet will also make its debut, presenting instrumental and vocal Maori numbers. Dunedin Jottings THE W.H.A. session will be taken by Mr. A. Salmond, M.A., speaking on "The Aspect of Education in Russia."
A half-hour recital of recordings will precede the evening concert, which will be provided by the Green Island Municipal Band and assisting artists. |
