‘A NEW series of lectures to be given under the auspices of the Workers’ Hducational Association will be begun from 1YA next week. The Rey. W. G. Monckton, tutor for the association on "International MRelations,’’ will speak on "Present Day Problems" every Tuesday evening; the Rév. W. Jellie, tutor for "Modern Poetry," wiil deal with "Literature and Life" every Wednesday evening; and Mr. Ernest Blair, president of the association, will speak on "Art and Craft on the Amateur Stage" every Thursday evening. Mr. Blair is a well-known amateur producer and has been actively associated with the dramatic activities of the association. He is a member of the Grafton Shakespeare Dramatic Club. "THE first relay by 1YA of broadsiding sports will be carried out on Suturday evening, when Mr. Gordon Hutter will describe the events at the Western Springs Speedway. Relays of these sports will be carried out by 1YA at regular intervals in the future. The sports were recently successfully relayed by 1ZR, the announcer being Mr. W. Hindeman. The Plunket Shield cricket matches during the next few weeks will be described by. 1YA. During Mr. Gordon Hutter’s absence: at Ninety Mile Beach the work of sports announcer will be carried out. by his brother.
