Wellington Features T has been said that only an Italian can do full justice to the famous patter song, "Largo al Factotum,’"’ from Rossini’s "Barber of Seville," one of the songs to be sung by Signor Lucien Cesaroni this evening. Signor Cesavoni will also sing "Leporello’s Humorous Ariette" (from "Don Juan," by Mozart), and "Within these Sacred Bowers," by the same composer. The favourite "Miserere" (from "Il Trovatore") will be sung with piano and organ accompaniment, and also the fine trio for: soprano, tenor and bass from Verdi’s opera, "{£ Lombardi," with orchestral accompaniment. Another outstanding feature of the programme will be the performance of Liszt’s brilliant piano "Concerto in HE Flat" with full orchestral accompaniment. This will be played=in two movements’ by Miss Mary Lennie, L.T.0.L., and Miss Lalla Vondersloot, L.A.B., respectively. . From Christchurch ME. N. M. BELL, M.A,, will broadcast from 3YA a talk on "Hsperanto." ‘ The Christchurch Municipal Band (under Conductor J. Noble) will provide the instrumental portion of the programme, Among the singers appearing this evening will be Mr. Adam 8. Mitchell (tenor), who will make his first appearance in radio,
