This -eombination, consisting of Miss Lillian Woods; Miss Beryl Smith, Mr. Lambert Harvey. and Mr, Duncan Black, has proved immensely popular with listeners. . Mr. Cyril Towsey, pianist, will play "Country Dances" (by Beethoven). Two short gramophone lecture-recitals entitled "Spanish Music and Musicians" will be given by Mr. Karl Atkinson.
That excellent elocutioniste, Mr. J. M. Clark, will give a humorous number, "Soaked in Seaweed" (from "Nonsense Novels" by Stephen’ Leacock, the Can- ~ adian humorist).' Wellington N otes. Iss L F. Meadows will be the speaker for the Home Seience talk this. afternoon. The Wellington City Salvation Army Band, under Bandmaster Seotney, will provide a programme in the evening. Of a delightful nature will be the concerted numbérs to be sung by the Lyric Quartet, their items including old Eng-lish:-glees; "As Moments Roll," "Spin, Spin," and a selection of popular community songs.
