At 1YA. A TALK on "Chrysanthemums," by Mr. A. E. MacMahon, will be broadeast at 7.40. The 1YA String Octet will contribute several light numbers. to this evening’s programme. Mister Ree will give some more of his Radio Magic and there is no doubt that this type of entertainment is very much appreciated. Miss Nellie Lingard (contralto) will be ueard in several ballads while Miss Gladys Hoskin (soprano) and Mr. A. L. MacPherson (tenor), will be heard in a number of Scottish solos and duets. Wellington’s Programme HE contributing artists include the popular Melodie Four, Mr. R. M.
Stratmore (who plays concertina solos), Miss Marjorie Bennie, Mr. Will Bishop, and the Salon Orchestra, Miss Marjorie Bennie will sing as contralto solos "Whisper and I Shall Hear" (a request number) and "When You Come Home." Mr. Will Bishop, the popular comedian, will entertain listeners in his usual inimitable style with some of his own compositions. Christchurch Topics f Eto results of the C.J.C. meeting at Ricearton will be broadcast in the afternoon.
OPULAR songs will be broadcast by Mr. Leslie Stewart and bass solos by Mr. Leslie Fleming. The Rose and Thistle Duo will contribute popu lar songs at the piano with banjolene. Mr. A. BE. Hutton, one of the finest flautists in Christchurch, will be heard in two items, while Mr. Noel Newson will give two sketches at the piano. This programme will be relayed to 4YV A,
