From Auckland — HE evening service will be relayed from St. Matthew’s Church, the Preacher being Canon ©. H. Grant ‘Cowan, and the organist Mr. J. H. Philpott. This will be followed by an ex‘ceptionally fine studio programme. The Salon Trio will again appear. The three young ladies who comprise this combixiition have firmly established themselves with 1¥A listeners. They Will be assisted by other good artists.
2YA Notes ASTOR W. G. CARPENTER will be the preacher at Vivian Street Church of Ohrist on Sunday evening when the service will be relayed. The organist will be Miss Hazel Hunter. The Studio concert which will follow the church service will be given by. the Wellington Municipal Tramways Band, who will -include.in their programme a selection from "Maritana," . a fantasia, "The .Old Rustic Bridge," and two marches. .Bandsman Stevenson will play .the cornet solo "Zelda," by Percy Code, the well known’ Australian composer. They will be well supported..
Broadeast by 3YA T 38 o’clock a rélay of the sacred cantata, "Faith" will be carried out from Wesley Church, Fitzgerald Avenue. The soloists assisting the choir will be: Migs Corrie Aslin, Miss Alice’ Vinsen,, Mr. T. G. Rogers, and Mr. R. Lake, The organist will be Mr. A. M. Owen and the conductor Mr. J. Chaplin. At 6,30 the service in the same church will be broadcast, the preacher being Student W. H. Greenslade. 2 BS Relayed from 4YA A LECTURE on Christian Science to be delivered by Judge Samuel W. Greene, of .Chicago, will be relayed by 4YA from the Concert Chamber ‘of the Town Hail. Pastor W. D. More will preach at St. Andrew’s Street Church of Christ on Sunday evening when the service will be broadeast. At the conclusion the St. Kilda Band under Mr. J. Dixon will present a studio concert. The principal band item on this occasion will be an exceptionally brilliant "Selection of Sanderson’s Songs," a. famous band number arranged by Ord. Hume, while 2 "novelty: trombone fantasia entitled "The Joker," will also be heard. The recordings include one of the finest ‘piano selections yet made, the "Organ Prelude and Fugue in A minor" (Bach-Liszt) as played . by. Mischa, Levitski.
