Hnergy will be obtained from the Port .Moresby town electric supply, which will be. transformed by_ means of special apparatus. Two transmitters will’ be installed, one for communication . direct with Sydney. on short wave between 15 and 50 metres and the other for communication with ships on the standard ship- _ ping wavelength of: from: 600 to 800 metres. The equipment makes provision also for ready conversion ‘into a high ‘speed transmitting station should the traffic in the future warrant such a proceeding.
