HE service to be conducted in St. Albans Methodist Church will be broadcast on Sunday evening. The Rey. 8. J. Warren will be the preacher. A brief studio concert will follow, precedggs. the rebroadcast of the concert whith is to be given by the Port Nicholson Silver Band in the Grand Opera Houre, Wellington, The artists contributing to the 3YA studio programme will be Miss Vera Martin (contralto) and Mr. W. H. Inkster (baritone). HE fortnightly book review will be given by Mr, E. J. Bell on Monday evening. ’ THE Christchurch Municipal Band, under Mr. J. Noble, will give a prograimme on Monday evening, The assisting SYA urtists will {nelide a duo who will give humorous sketches. This duo will consist: of Miss Gladys Willetts and Mir. W. H. Moses. The sketches will comprise "The Oostet’s Courtship" and "Insuring His Life." Mr. W. H. Moses will give the dranatie recital, "The Day That I Have Loved." Mrs. J. A. Stewart (mezzosoprano), Miss Hileén Johnston (soprand), tuid Mr. Robt.- Robson (bari tone) will: contribute a variety of fine vocal numbers and a variety of instrumental selections will be played by the Studio Trio. The bund items, will corfiprise two marches, "Dutitroon". and "Old Faithful," "Stradella" (by Filotow), "Largo in G," "Bells Across. the Meadow" -(Ketelbey), and "Aloha-Oe," a2. Hawaiian number. HE fourth, and last, act of "Carinen" wil} be presented on Weédnesday evening. The story stipplementing the gramophone records will be related by Mr. W, H. Dixon (Professor of Singing). ee Se ere eee
A MISCELLANEOUS _ programme: will support the operatic section on Wednesday evening. The Melodiots four will sing a number of nursery. rhymes, and these will be 4 very pleasing feature of the programme. Instrumentul quintettes will be played by the Bohemians. There will be planoforte items by Miss Merle Miller, Solos will be sung by Miss Frances Hamerton, Miss Belle Renaut, Mr. Russell Sumner and Mr. T. D. Williams. Reeitations will be given.by Mrs. Margeret Williams. NHURSDAY evening-is the night of the Radio Pageant of the Maori Race, produced in 2ZYA Studi. A "POPULAR" type of programme, followed by tt session -of dance music, will constitute Friday evening’s entertainment, Miss Millicent Jennings will be heard in poptilar sotigs as well as in 2 Spatiish serenade, "My Beloved." Miss Alina Finnerty will also sing pdpulaxy firs. Prominent on the programme. ‘will be the "lwo White Crows," who, with singing und patter, will givé a burlesque entertainment. Also contributing will be the Rosé and Thistle Duo, in jazz songs at the piano with banjoele. The dance music-of the evening will be provided by the BaileyMarsten Dance Orchestra, which will play the latest ails.
