Christchurch War Memorials.

The campaign for a war memorial in Christchurch has ended in two being decided upon. At a meeting of the War Memorial Executive Committee held about the middle of June the following resolution was passed:—"That this meeting of representatives of different memorial projects recommends that the Memorial Column and the Bridge of Eemembrance be each proceeded with and receive official recognition by the civic authorities. It is essential to this agreement that the names of fallen soldiers shall be inscribed within or upon the base of the Memorial Column."
