Greymouth
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Two of our club members, Messrs. W. H. Duffy and R. C. Heffernan, have teen selected to represent the West Coast at the conference of the athletic, clubs of tlie Dominion at Dunedin. Tliere was a very large .congregation at the Christmas midnight Mass at St. Patrick's Church. The high/ altar was tastefully decorated by Misses E. Sullivan/ M. Burke, M. Heffernan, and A. Heffernan. m A^ 1^ P leas i n g ceremony took place in the St. Columba Cluo Rooms last Sunday afternoon., when the members made a presentation to Mr. W. H. Duffy on the eve r.f his approaching marriage. The president (Mr. E/ Casey) m making the presentation, which consisted of a beautiful travelling rug, referred in eulogistic terms to Mr. Duffy s long connection with- the club, the many good works performed by him for its advancement, and concluded by wishing Mr. Duffy and his future wife long life and prosperity. Several other members endorsed the remarks of the president, and wished Mr. Duffy every happiness. Mr. Duffy thanked the membei-s for the valuable present, and congratulated them on the prosperous condition of the club.
