SISTER MARY VERONICA (BRADY), DARFIELD

The Sisters of Mercy of Colombo street, Christchurch, have sustained a sad loss (writes our Christchurch correspondent) in the death of Sister Mary Veronica, of their branch convent at Darfield, which occurred on last Friday after a brief illness. In response to an urgent summons, Ihe Rev. Father Peoples, S.M., of the Cathedral, 'attended the deceased Sister in her last moments. The remains were conveyed to the convent in the city, and Requiem Mass is to be "celebrated at St. Mary's, Manchester street, this morning (Monday), after which the interment will take place at the Linwood Cemetery. — R.I.
