■ All the pupils presented for the examinations in practical and theoretical music, conducted by Mr Edwards, L.T.C.L., by the Sisters of Mercy, Hokitika'

were successful. One of the candidates, .Miss M. Sullivan, gained within twelve months honors in the practical and theoretical examinations- in the Senior division (Trinity College), and hionors in the Advanced Grade, Local Centre (R.A.M.). She is only fourteen years of - age, and has received the whole of her musical training at the convent. The following is the list :—Professional—Aileen< Daly, A. T.C.L. Cummings in connection with the Associated' Board, the only pupil presented "by the convent was Una Sullivan for Advanced Grade, Local Centre (piaho), and she secured 136 marks, thereby gaming honors..
