On April 17 / there was a large j number "present^ at the .Church of the Sarced Heart, 'Kaikoura. to .witness the marriage of Miss Isabella Keenan,' 1 youngest daughter of Mr. Patrick Keenan, to Mr. Michael' Coughlin;* of Temuka 1 . -The bride, w>ho~ was given away by her-fat<her 5 wiore 'a costume of cream meryeilleuse. silk;-, with. seil and spray- of orange blossoms," and . a gold chain, the gift of the bridegroom. Miss Mary'Adair "was bridesmaid, and Mr. Simon Coughlin- (brother of' the bride- ■ groom) acted as best man. .The .ceiemony was performed 'by the Rev. Father Gplden, and, on the brioal party leaving the church the Wedding March was played by Miss. Coughlin" (sister- ol "the bridegroom). The wedding breakfast was laid at- the" residence :of the* bride's parents,- where a ' large - number of guests'assembled. A number of toasts were proposed and duly honored. The happy couple- were the recipients of a large number of wedding presents, bothj, useful- andj" ornamental. Mr A and "Mrs. Cqug;hlin left in the afternoonfpr the North Island on their honeymoon jbrip, taking with " them the best wishes of a large circle of friends for,, their future happiness.
