This may not be a record' number, nevertheless it is a very respectable one for the' Timaru parish. -'" - Mr. ' Beyd-on, M.L.C.,- Sydney, paid a' short visit to Timaru^ on Monday last, and was the - guest of the Bey. .Father Tubman at the Priory. -In the evening he" addtressed^ a fair gathe ing in the girls'* school on the St. Vincent de Paul Society. The address lasted about an. hour, and was pn similar lines to the one given in Dunediin. On the motion of Mir-. Conlon, a hearty vote of - thanks was accorded the .speaker. It is to be- hoped that a " result of his visit will be seen ■in the increased support given " to the local branch of this most excellent society.
