ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET.

Except in fat cattle, the yardings of stock at Adding ton were mostly srrraJl. There was a good attendance. Beef was a shade easier, fat laniibs amd stow sheep, BOlld well, prime fat sheop were very firm. Fat pigs were in demand, while stores were dull of sale. Fat Lambs.— Abiout 60 new season's lambs werq'penned, mostly in small lots, and of good quality. There was gjaod competition and prices were firm, go-od to prime making from 20s to 26s ; a few lighter from l&s. Fat Sheep.— There was again a moderate yarding of fat/ sheep, mostly wethers, awl a >number of | lines we*e unfinished, and were bought by graziers. Prime sheep sold fully Tip 1 to late rates. A few pens of shorn wethers—the first to be offered this season— failed to find buyers at owners' reserves. The range of prices was : Prime wethers, 25s to 28s 3d , medium, 22s (>d to 24s 6d ; unfinished, 21s to 22s ; ewes, ISs to 25s (jd , good to prime merino wethers, 17s lOd to 21s • medium 16s 7d to 17s 6d. Fat Cattle.— 2sG head were penned, mostly prime steers. The market opened at last week's rates, but was a shade easier later on, though considering the large yarding, prices were exceptionally good. The principal sales were four bmllocks, £11 2s Gd to £15 ss, nine 9tcars, £10 12s bd to £13 15.s ; two cows, £8 12s 6d and £9 7s fid • two heifers, £7 15s and £7 17s 6d , six steers, £8 12s 6d to £10 ; lino prime medium-weight steers, averaging £10 7s ; 28 steers, £10 12s fid'to £13, other steers, £7 las to £11 5s , heifers, £6 to £8 15s ; cows, £5 to £8 7s 6d— equal to 23s Cd to 25s (jd for prime, awl 21s to 23s for medium per 1001 b. Veal calvra sold >at ?s Gd to 555. Pigs.— There was a small yarding, an/1, with a fair demand, prices showed a general improvement for fats, while stores were dull ofLsale.
