There was only a moderate number of horses forward for Saturday's sale. The supply of sound, fresh young horses, both draught and light, falls far short of the demand, and giood sorts of both kinds meet a ready sale at quotations. The following include a few of our transactions on Saturday : Bay gelding, four years, at £48 ; grey gelding, six years, at £43 ; bay geUling, seven years, at £40 ; bay gelding, seven years, at £36 ; bay spring-cart mare, at £26 ; chestnut buggy mare, at £24 ; and several aged and inferior light harness sorts at up to £15. We q,uote : Superior young draft geldings at from £50 to £59 ; extra good, do, (prize horses), £56 to £85 ; superior young draught £60 to £75 ; medium draught mares and ge'^P s, £30 to £45 ; aged do, £17 to £30 ; upstafndin J^,arri,age horses-, £25 to £35 ; well-matched carriage pairs, £80 to £100 ; strong spring-van horses, £30 to £35 ; milk-cart and 'butchers' order-cart horses, £20 to £28 ; light hacks, £10 to £18 ; extra gtood (hacks, £20 to £30 ; weedy and aged hacks and harness horses, £5 to £8.
