We held o,ur usual weekly sale at our Hlorse Ba,z,a a r on »atur,day last, when there was a very large attendance of buyers fr»om all parts of the province a<n,d tbwn carriers and traders were all present jt 'goes without saying that tihe shipment of Clydesdale niares hllies^ a,nd geiiauigs from Victioria was tihe feattire o£ the day,, altlmugh a number of provincial first-class geldings were ottcreid amd s|old at highly satisfactory prices. On Uhie whole the sale was mosit sjuccesisful, an,d a large ipr.ojp,orti,on ot the entry dhanged hands at prices quite agreeable to vendors and buyers. We quote: Firstcßasg Clydesdale mares and geWungs, £.55 to £65 ; gpod cajt horses showing a fair dash of Cly,desdale blbod, £4'B to £52 ; extra goad geldingp, up to £70 ; aftlti the ngjht sort of Clydesdale mares, suitable for stud p,ur,p,oses, up to l&Ogs ; van and sipring-dray geldtogs £40 to £siO ; sprijng-carters, £24 to £32 ; buggy geldings, q.uiet and soa.nd attid gpod movers, £25 to £35 ; medium cLass, £18 t,o £23 ; rqally goiod hackneys, £25 tp ££5 ; meidijum sorts, up to £22.
