LIVE STOCK OTAOO FARMERS' HORSE BAZAAR
The 01 ago Farmers' Co-operative Association of New Zealand (Limited) report :— We held our usual weekly sale o,n Saturday last, whan there was a fair gathering of buyers in search of gpod cart geldings and van hoTses. Of these classes the number torward wa« limited, amd a good many requirements were unsmpplied. The muster of all classes was small, only 15 horses being offered. There was also a good demand for spring, carters and light harness horses, and a few changed hands at satisfactory prices. The- demand for good heavy draught geldings and young sound -act km van horses is still good, and we have no hesitation in saying that consignments f'onv the country will meet a 'good market. The same remarks aifjiply to spring and oid?r cart (good active sorts), and now that spring weather is setting in inquiries fare being made for q'ncL sio.ur.fl buggy horses, and a good few buyers arc aboul for this class We quote : Heaw draught e-jildinLt. £ 16 to £56 ; g«.'od useful plough' gfcldinftp, £38 to £15 ; van horses, £35 to £43 ; g,ood buggy and gig gelaing,s, from £20 to £30 ; good young and sound luv ks, up to £25.
