London, August 2.— The Frozen Meat Trade Association's (Smithfield market) quotations for the undermentioned classes of frozen meats are based on actual sales of not less than 100 carcases of mutton or lamb, or 25 carcases of betef, of fair average quality. These quotations are not for selected lines, but for parcels fairly representative of the shipments now on the market. New Zealand sheep : Crossbred wethers and maiden ewes— Canterbury, light, 48ft to 56ft, 4 3-16 d ; Canterbury, medium, 56ft to 64ft, 4£d ; Canterbury, heavy, 64ft to 721 b, 4d ; Dunedin and Southland, 561 bto 64ft 4 l-16d ; North Island, 55ft to 65ft, 3 15-16 d. Lambs and beef are unchanged. River Plate sheep, heavy and light, 3 15-16 d. Beef unchanged.
Mr. F. Meenan, King street, Dunedin, reports :— Wholesale prices only— Oats : Milling, Is 9£d to ls lOd • feed, ls 6d to ls 9£d Wheat • Milling, 3s 10d to 4s 2d ; fowls' wheat, 3s to 3s 3d. Potatoes : Derwents, £4 5s ; seed kidneys, £3 10s to £4 10s. Chaff, £2 15s to £3 7s 6d. Straw : Pressed wheat, 30s ; oaten, 35s ; loose £2. Flour : Sacks, £10 ; 50ft, £10 15s ; 25ft, £11. Oatmeal, £9 10s. Pollartl, £5. Bran, £3 10s. Butter • Dairy, 8d to lOd ; factory, lid. Cheese : Factory, 6^d ; dairy, s|d. Eggs, ls 4d. Onions : Melbourne, £5 ; Christchurch, £4.
