Addington Stock Market.
The entries were fair, but the attendance small, at the Adding* ton market last week. Fat Cattle — 168 head yarded, the number being in excess of requirements. Ordinary steers brought from L 5 16s to L97s 64 5 heifers, L 5 10s to L 7 ; cows, L 4 5s to L 7 ss. Prices per 1001 b ranged from 17s to 22s 6d. Store Cattle — There was a large entry, of which a number passed unsold. Dry cows realised from L2lsto L 4 ; 12 months to two years old, L 3 2s 6d to L 3 17s 6d. Fat Sheep — The entry was email, and prices were about the same as last week. Heavyweight wethers brought from 19s 6d to 20s 9d ; lighter, 16s to 17s 9d. The demand for export sheep wai slack in the absenoe of freezing buyers, and none were sold above butchers' prices. A small line of merino wethers fetched 13s 6d. Fat Lambs — There was a moderate entry, and an irregular sale. For good sorts there waß a slight advance on last week's rates. Good freezers realised 16s 3d, and butchers' sorts 10s 6d to 14s. Stobe Sheep — 12,600 penned. The heavy entry had its effect on the market, and some good lines were withdrawn. Lambs sold at from 9s 7d to 12s 2d ; wethers, 14s 8d to 16s lOd ; half bred and crossbred ewes, 8s 3d to 16s sd. Pi 08 — 381 were entered, and prices were somewhat easier. Baconers fetched from 35a to 42a ; porkera, 28a to 39a 6d ; stores, lls 6d to 15s 6d ; weaners, 5s 3d to 8a 6d.
