WOOL, SKINS, TALLOW, ETC.
London, January 29.— At the wool sales 128,946 bales were catalogued, and 118,477 bales told. There was slightly more competition and a better tone. Prices were unchanged. London, January 30'— At the wool Bales the Waipahi cliD realised 7|d London, January 31. — At the wool sales there was good competition at recent rates. The .Puketoi clip realised B|d and the Rangitiri 6d. At the tallow sales 11 50 casks were offered, and 139 sold. Fine mutton, 29a 3d -, medium, 27s ; fine beef, 27s 9d ; medium, 26s 6d. London, February 1. — The Bradford wool market ia quiet. Common bixties, lSd; supers, ISJd. At the sales there was fair competition and a hardening tendency. The sales close on the 9th. The Longburn clip fetched (J^. London, February 2. — At the wool sales there was spirited competition for good sorts, and in all classes prices tended in the sellers' favor. Up to date 202,171 bales have been catalogued and 185,039 sold. Messrs. Stronach Bros, and Morris report as follows :— Eabbitskins and SHHKPSINB— No sales this week. Wool— The next sale of the season will be held on Friday, 22nd in.st. Hides— ln good demand. Prime heavy ox, Id to 4|d : medium. 3}d to 3^d ; cow hides, 3sd to 3gd per lb. Tallow— Market steady. Best rendered mutton, 15s 6d to 17s 6d ; medium, Us to lf>s ; rough fat, 10s to 12s per cwt.
