Dunedin HOrse Saleyards.
Mesprs. Wright, Stephenson and Co. report as follows : There was a fair entry of medium class horses for this week's sale, but very few draughts were on offer. The demand throughout the pale was quier, and not many transactions were recorded. A useful five-yiar-old gelding at L4O, and another very useful horse at 1,22 were the only Bales of draughts effected, whilst among the light horses less than a dozen changed hands at from L 7 to Ll7. There is still good inquiry for first-clasn draught geldings, and for useful, heavy harness horses suitable for rabbit export waggon teams. We quote : Superior young draught geldings, L 43 to L 55 ; extra good prize horses, L 36 to L6O ; medium draught mares and geldings, L2B to L 36 ; aged do, L2O to L 25 ; upstanding carriage horses, L 25 to L3O ; well -matched carriage pairs, L7O to LBO ; strong spring-van horses, L3O to L 35 ; milk-cart and butchers' order-cart horses, LI 6 to L 24 ; tram horses, Ll2 to Ll6 ; light hacks, L 7 to LlO ; extra good hacks, L2O to L3O ; weedy and aged haoka and harness horses, L 2 to L 5.
