There was the usual attendance of local and foreign buyers at the fourth of the series or the Chnsti;hureh wool siles on Friday. The bidding was mo^t irregular throughout, most of the competition resting with local fellmonger-*. and prices showed a decline of Id to 2d on the January sale, fine wools suffering mo«t There was no spirit in the salf. Out of I'.Mi'j bale-- offered only 2385 changed haml» at auction, the balance being withdrawn. Prices were Greasy merino, 8d to 10d,and in a few waited cases up to 11 Jd ; h.ilf-bred, 6]d to Did, and up to 10]. 1 for a tew oxci ptional lots , crossbred, H to Bd, and up to 9d for exceptional : long wool, 4^d to Gd ; pieces and bellies, 3|d to 7d, and up to 10 id for exceptional; locks, \\d to ojd.
