DUNEDIN WOOL SALES.

The third of the series of Dunedin wool sales was held on Friday, when close on 9000 bales were offered. There was a good attendance of English, Continental, and local buyers, and good competition resulted at lately reported rates, which are, however, from £d to Id lower than those ruling at the previous sale. For finer wools there was very good competition, the prices realised being about a halfpenny per pound below those of last sale. On all crossbreds and longwools a decline of fully a penny per lb on last sales was experienced. Pieces and oddments were 10 per cent, lower.
