The Nkw Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited, report as follows :—: —

Wheat — Owing doubtless to the small quantity offering sales are not numerous. Prime milling, however, is readily placed at quotations, but medintn is still neglected. Prime milling northern velvet is worth 4s Gd to 4s N^d ; do Tuscan, 4s 3d to 4s 5d ; best red wheat, 4s 3d to 4s 4d ; medium, nominally. 3h 8d to 4s ; fowls' wheat, 2s !>1 to 3s G \ (ex store, sacks in, net).

O its — Thu market is still void of animation, best milling only fetching Is lOdto Is lid ; best bright short feed. Is 01 to Is i^d ; inferior. Is (id tt Is 7d (ex store, hacks extra, net).

Potatoes — The market shows no improvement, beat northern Derwents only fetching- LI 15s to LI 17s Gd ; extra prime. L 2 ; medium, LI 5s to LI 10s per ton (ex store, sacks in. net).

Sheepskins — All sorts meet with a good demand, best dry crossbreds fetching -id to :>\d ; medium. 2^d to 3^d ; dry merinos, 21 to A\d ; best green crossbreds, 4s .'id to 5s 3d ; extra, 5s Gl ; medium, 3s 6d to 4s.
