MORNING SERIALS
Sir-I have been married for two years and prior to that I had not listened to a morning radio serial. Since then I have had opportunities of listening to Dr Paul, Portia Faces Life, etc. The conspicuous feature of these serials is that the leading persons are perpetually indulging in some of the most sordid crimes known to humanity (murder, blackmail, bribery, arson, double-cross-ing and unmitigated lying, to name a few). As for. Dr Paul, that great story of adult love; it is more like the vapourings of the mentally afflicted. Is this supposed to be a portrayal of normal, everyday life? Because if it is I have never come up against anything to compare with it. Could you please put on a serial. at 11 a.m. with decent, respecte
able people in it?
