"THE GIRLS"
Sir-I heartily agree with the sentiments expressed by G.M.T. regarding "The Giris." I feel that the four members of the panel should be wholly New Zealanders born and bred-surely there are many capable and knowledgeable people who could voice an intelligent and helpful opinion on the prob.ems posed, and who would enjoy coming forward. It seems, too, that the panel members get rather irritable and im-: patient with one another, perhaps due to too long an association, hence the bad manners mentioned by your correspondent, and which I have also noticed. It would be to the advantage of both panel and listeners to change its members regular.y, say every two or even three months, either completely or two members at a time, to avoid this quite
enlightening session becoming boring. New ideas, modes of expression, and new voices would certainly refresh this programme, and also with a changing panel be more representative of the average New Zealander leading the normal home life we know here.
